Transformational Aspects of the Therapy Relationship

An abundance of research on outcomes in psychotherapy focuses on the pivotal role of the therapeutic relationship, regardless of the approach. Psychoanalysis has a great deal to say about key components of this relationship.  In this course, we will examine what these components are from the contributions of psychoanalytic thought past and present. Emphasis will be on practical clinical applications of these transformative encounters so that participants will be able to utilize them in their practices.

PRESENTER BIO:

William L. Edkins, Psy.D., Psy.D. is a Supervising and Training Analyst at Newport Psychoanalytic Institute and the Los Angeles Institute and Society for Psychoanalytic Studies. He is also on the faculty of both institutes. He has practiced and taught for the past 38 years and is a Fellow of the International Psychoanalytical Association.

Individual courses are $60. Create your own series of 4 or more for $50 per course.
